Hi all I got my bfp on a frer yesterday and on a digi today, but I took two IC's, one yesterday and one today and they're not getting any darker? The line is about the same as yesterday, and yesterday I didn't use fmu and today I did, should I be worried?? Thank you xx

In my experience, ICs are crap at detecting the subtle shifts in pregnancy hormones. Your best bet is to use a FRER or any other pink test to check the darkness (although I've had good luck with Clearblue as well). Also, remember that hormones typically double every 48hrs or so, so you may be within this window (thus your tests look the same). Especially at the beginning, when your hcg is so low, the darkness change might be negligible (think about how your first positive might have been HCG 10, 48 hours later it would only be 20, which is still pretty darn low and will bring out a pretty faint line on any test).
Hope that helps!

Sometimes it just depends on the person and how much hormones you are producing. But a line is a line! Your levels will double every 48-72 hours so maybe it is still early. I've known people who always have faint lines on pregnancy tests and have healthy babies. I've also known people who will always get a negative on a pregnancy test..one went full term and never got a positive once! Just relax and stay off google search Congrats on your BFP!!

ive taken many tests, many brands. The only one that kept getting darker is the frer. They are expensive, but the best in my opinion. The others..store brand..answer, dollar store cheapie, and clear blue just stayed the same.

I took pregnancy tests daily for a couple of weeks after I finally got my BFP and I too was a bit worried by the fact that the lines didn't seem to be getting noticeably darker.
My ICs seemed to take ages to get really strong, and even then they weren't much stronger than the control line.
I know it's hard, but try not to worry.

Hi there, I remember you from the TTC boards Congratulations on your BFP
My IC's seemed to take forever to get dark and in the beginning I couldn't notice the difference every day (more like every second day). I bet you'll notice a difference tomorrow or the day after x

Hi, i took 2 tests 3 days ago and they we're quite faint but yesterdays and todays have been dark, nearly the same as the control lines. I didn't actually test until i was 4 days late when i got pregnant with my now 13 month old LO and got a nice dark line. x

I'm exactly the same! Never had an evap before, and now got four super faint lines, can't be evaps, surely!

Glad this thread is helping others too my tests are just the same, not darker, but not lighter so I'm going to take that as a good sign that at least they're not getting lighter! I'll attach a pic of my faint lines so you can see them because even with faint lines it came up pos. on a digi!
